Replacing the A/C wall unit question

How many breakers work with the a/c system? Is there only an outside compressor and one other for the a/c system?

I believe my heater works off gas as well. I replaced one once before and turned off the breakers and still had a hot wire some how.

Thats all low voltage stuff. Ive never turned the breakers off when swapping a t-stat.

Me either, just be careful i dont think it does but if you have a common wire and it touches the red it will blow the transformer inside the furnace....Thats if there is not a fuse inline. Judging from the manual T-Stat i dont think you will have these problems.

But yes it most likely will have 1 breaker for the ouside condensing unit and one for the furnace/air handler.
