98 cobra vss sensor wire harness plug

the one on my car was a 4 prong and will not fit on the tran vss 2 prong sensor. the car did have a speedcal back on it a long time ago but i removed it when i changed the gears. the speedo worked before the engine/tran was removed so im wondering if the abs sensors were sending the signal and this plug was not used? has anyone else seen a 4 prong vss plug not hooked up and the speedo still work? i removed 2 wires on the 4 prong that go into the harness and hooked them to the 2 prong vss sensor and now everything works. im just wondering why my harness has a 4 prong plug when the vss sensor is a 2? possible this is a different tran harness?

the vss is not a 4 pin....it is a 2 pin, sounds as you are missing the jumper harness

probably i fixed it though. thats what i get for going there never seen shttier work in my life.
