  • Wikileaks...

What are your thoughts on the situation? Im on the fence. While I do believe in free speech, posting information that can be of nation security risk is not good. But on the other hand, I do like the fact we can see the bullshit that our government is doing behind our backs. All the bank crap that they are supposed to put out on how they royally fucked our economy and the government knew about it. How corporations are intentionally trying to screw people of America for a bigger bonus.

I feel that it is time for people to be held accountable for their actions and ruining our economy. I also find it interesting and would like to know how far the government was involved and knew that it would be a disaster. Who got paid off to turn their head, etc...

I believe the internet should be free to post whatever you want, but like anything else, that freedom should and does come with the responsibility of dealing with the backlash of your opinion. The guy did what he thought was right, his mindset is different than ours but now he gets to deal with the consequences.

Julian Assange is not an american, he is not doing this in america, so in no way should he be subjected to our laws. he simply provides a platform where anyone can post anything they want. he does not steel this information or hire people to do so, he is just a publisher.

however the guy who stole the information and released it did commit a crime.

Oh shit... it's our bleeding heart Liberal again.

When his actions can pose as a potential threat to our current missions and possibly putting US troops and agents in harms way, he gets what's coming.

That looks like a buck passing answer if I ever saw one! "Your car was stolen by an illegal alien, since we can't charge him, it's kinda like it never happened.."

There are world wide implications for what Assange did that could potentially affect us all.

he not an american, he is not on our side, so why should he be expected to keep our secrets?

one of our guys stole the info and gave it to him, what was he suppose to do with it. most spy's would sell that information, or try to extort the US with that information, he gave it away.

and why is no one upset at the New York Times? they have an exclusive deal in place witch allows them to publish wikileaks in their paper. the new york times is an american business under our protection, yet they published the material as well.

HA! Just like Assange is guilty of espionage. You don't have to be a citizen for that.

It's all bullshit propaganda. All of the "leaks" just support the agenda of more wars and that Israel is right in everything they say and do. It's horse shit. The powers that be would have stomped this crap out before you ever heard of it If it was really a credible threat to anything/anyone.
“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods". to be guilty of espionage you have to obtain the information illegally. the information was given to him with out him asking for it.

if some random guy were to walk up to you on the street and just told you the launch code to one of our nuclear missiles, would you consider yourself guilty of espionage?
