  • Some Nitrous Questions

The more I think about it, the more I want to spray my car.
I'll probably go for a cheap used kit. Wet or dry? and also, I'm getting gears installed before long. Should I stay away from something as steep as 4:30's with a big shot? 4:10's be better? what do you guys think?

"Jetfast" is the man when it comes to gas. He's been doing it for a few days, so the man knows his stuff. He's done several set-up's for several board members.

What do you consider a big shot?

I wouldnt spray a stock 97 mod motor with more than a 150 shot if he wants it last! Even more so if it is over 100k. Big shot= 200hp or more imo! For what he is doing i would say 100-125 dry shot.

You will be surprised what a difference a 100 shot will make and it is easier on everything.

That is a safe shot. Don't buy a used kit though. Get a new one. Not to mention it could have crap in the hose that will stop up your filter on the nos Solenoid. That way you know everything will work properly. Definitely don't do 4:10's and try to spray first gear. You can't shift that fast.

Bad thing is......trying to keep your bottle up to temp in the cold weather. A heating blanket is a must. Though I don't have one my self. I have to throw a hair dryer in the trunk for a while..........LOL. Even then it cools down fast.

x2 on don't buy a used kit! As tempting as it is in a street race to spray it in 1st gear it usually ends up costing you. In a 410 5-speed set up you will peddle it in that car! A light coupe with full drag sus is a different story.
