  • the new hog leg

I've been daydreaming about a big shiny hog leg of a revolver for too long...

found a 6" 686-3 on the other side of Alvin for a good price. Been waiting on the seller to get back in town for a couple weeks. Finally picked it up tonight.

Here she is after an hour of polishing with Mother's. New grips are on order.

Nice. Funny how it works, in the 80's my dad was searching for rubber grips. Today we want nice wooden grips. I have a model 28 Smith that I inherited from my Grandpa that I love to death. My wife can shoot it with Hogues but can't with my original wooden grips. I keep the wood on, she has tons of other guns to choose from if the time comes.

I just got the same exact gun. You will love it! Very accurate and with the 6 inch barrel, .357 feels like a .22!
I do t love the rubber grips though..

they're actually starting to feel better in my hand. I had to just sit and dry fire it a few times to find my grip. Now I can see myself shooting with these grips just fine
