We did a conversion on a 5.0 today. It has the stock fuel system, long tube headers, cold air, 4.10 gears, twin disk clutch.

Jesus, those engines are so damned impressive I almost feel bad about talking shit about Fords underpowered engines for so long.

Correct me if I am wrong please.

E85 burns twice as fast as gasoline right? So if your getting minaml power gains like that, what's the advantage on a stock car w/ no type of FI?

                  And great numbers!

The first dyno vs the second.....

Is that the stock clutch vs the twin? Or was the twin already there? My car never saw much of a power difference no matter how many thousands of dollars it cost.

I understand that, but the fuel milage loss is horrible.

30% less efficient than gasoline, but about 30% less on price, too. Plus the potential for more power, evens it out.

Makes sense I guess, we talked ablout converting the silver car over but never did. I liked paying the 13.65 a gallon price better.

The price evens out when prices get stupid like they are right now. Once they drop down into the low $2 range or the $1 range then E85 cant keep its value as well.

The part I didnt like was finding E85 stations. For a track car, its awsome though.
