  • ? about stand off spacers

I have a T6 Aluminum supercharger bracket that fits over the top of my existing aluminum factory AC/PS bracket. The kit originally came with 1.5" aluminum standoff spacers. The OD is 1", ID is .48. Would it be possible to use Steel tube spacers instead of the aluminum spacers or would it cut into the aluminum supercharger and AC/PS bracket? If the answer is yes, then couldn't I use 1.25" length of steel spacer tube and then throw a flat washer on each end that measures 1/8" in thickness to spread the load?

Steel won't hurt as long as the face surface is big enough. The bigger the surface area the better..
