this is actually pretty cool. there is a shop in dallas we take some of our jobs to have them EDM'ed. they have a display case of some crazy detailed and small shit they do. i think it would be pretty cool to play around and make shit with one

Years ago I had a batch of stuff laser cut. When the sales rep was showing me the facility he took a piece right out of the laser and tossed it at me. I indistinctly caught it and dropped it. He said why did you drop it? I thought it would be hot.

It was barely above ambient - very interesting.

The laser back then couldn't cut a round hole that was smaller than the thickness of the material. I thought that was kind of weird.
