  • Under load shakes.

Car can be in neutral and rev without any vibrations.
Can go down the highway in 5th gear in any rpm with no vibration.

But, 1st-4th it shakes if you step on it.

Normal driving there isn't any vibration, just when driven hard.

Here's the thing, it only does it sometimes. And sometimes it's worse then others.

New balancer, new clutch, new trans, new driveshaft, new trans mount, new upper control arm bushings, and known good rear end was put in.

Could this be a misfire under load? Would that cause what I'm explaining?

Where would to guys start? I'm getting tired of this. I've set going fast aside. I just want something smooth and reliable. I know it's a foxbody and will require a ton of maintenance. Please help.

Motor mounts are a possibility. I have the car on a lift right now. I'll take a look.

I'll swap parts from my other car on my days off and see what I can come up with.

I'm going to order a new coil, plugs and wires and see what that will do.

      so much for saving cash.

              Could this be shifter related?

              Here's why I ask.

I put it in 4th at 65mph, shifter was shaking. So I grab it and move it slightly forward and the shaking stopped. I took it to 6k rpm and still smooth.

              It's a b&m or a bbk short throw.. I can't remember right off.

Might drop your timing a degree or two and see if the problem goes away, since it only occurs occasionally and only under load. It's hard to say though, from the description of the symptoms.

                      Shakes on deceleration too.

                      Grr!

Oh and on tfi modules. They call for 2 different ones.

One for auto and other for 5spd.

Car is a 5spd, but originally an auto. Still has a9p ECM.
