Got my lower in :)

Finally got my lower in. RRA dedicated 9mm lower. Now for the upper, and to send my Form 1 off.
I know I want to stick with RRA upper reciever, but they dont make a complete 9mm upper in 11.5". Adco qouted me $490 for a RRA complete 16" upper cut down and re threaded to 11.5". So here is the question, would I be better off doing that, or building my own with a RRA upper reciever?

If you're sticking with RRA, that price from Adco sounds really good. Model 1 makes a 11.5" but with the BCG it comes out to $505, just for reference sake.

Kinda what I was thinking, I've been surching through barrel and parts prices, but nothings jumping out at me. The mags I have are Colt 32 rnd mags. Lots of companys make mags for them, and I believe it can be converted to accept sten mags, which are pretty cheap.

Sten mags are cheap, but it is hard to find "good" ones these days. I just bought about 10 of them and only 3 were acceptable.

The real colt mags are getting hella hard to find too, but they are very good quality.

I had a 9mm AR once with a model 1 upper and this thing was a huge hunk of shit. It couldn't get off 10 rounds without a jam.

Yeah with a real rock river upper and a dedicated lower your gun should run great.
