CRL's Spring Cruisin for a Cause 4/9/11

Just thought I would share this with you guys. It's a charity I'm involved with that is a non-profit charity to help families with special needs children. This event had been getting bigger and bigger every year and it's alot of fun. It's a chance to get out and cruise the Texas country backroads and meet other car people from all possible make model parts of the car community while helping some very deserving kids.

Wash the car, roll dow the windows, drop the top, take the t-tops off, and get ready to cruise CRL style.


With the sucess of the previous cruises and people screaming for a longer route your voice has been heard. With the extended route comes new roads and new scenery.

Starting Point 9:00AM:
Collin County Court at Law 1
1800 North Graves Street, McKinney Tx

End Point 2:00PM:
Sonic Drive In
100 North Preston Road
Prosper, TX 75078

Route:
194.9 miles from start to finish

Tentative Schedule:
9:00 Meet & Greet
9:15 driver meeting
9:30 1st group leaves
9:35 2nd group leaves
9:40 3rd group leaves
10:15 Arrive at quick pix location
11:00 1st gas station stop
12:45 2nd gas station stop
1:30 3rd gas station stop
2:00-2:30 arrive at Sonic/fellowship

Cost:
$10 or diaper package(15+ count) donation

1st half of the cruise is 64 miles with 1 gas station stop
2nd half of the cruise is 129.9 miles with 2 gas station stops

Hey Steve, about how many cars do you have signed up on this deal so far? Sounds like a lot of fun and something I might well be able to make with my Mustang, but it's a pretty good ways out for me. Maybe I can get a group of some buddies to attend with me and all cruise out there together in some old iron.

Quite a few. I believe we are looking at 4 or 5 groups so far that are signed up. Last year we also had quite a few just show up last minute . I believe it was around 50 cars or so. It's a good time, good people for a good cause.

Yea it looks cool. Been having a fuel pump issue that i think i sorted out, but would hate to figure out i didnt on a long ass cruise. May have to wait till next time

Cars cleaned up, just got it back yesterday from the shop,new pilot bearing and retainer throwout bearing replaced. New fresh tune, runs much beter!! Going to be a good run to soak in the new tune. See ya there...

Man, that was a fuckin awesome cruise! SO much fun. I'm definetely hooked on twisting, curvy roads. Those of you who didn't attend missed out on a great time!
