  • I drove one, Coyote motor.

This is honestly the most "honest" opinion your gonna get from anyone who's ever owned a 5th gen Camaro.

This particular car was tuned by a local shop and had axle back bassani exhaust and a CAI. It also was a factory 3.73 car with the front Brembo brakes and 19" wheels. It made 416 rwhp......6 speed manual

Interior wise: loved it, you could see out of all the windows.
Kinda seemed like it was missing the sports car feel though.

Power wise: you could tell it was a small motor. The power was peeky feeling compared to the Ls3. It was almost like riding a 2 stroke bike. It was fast, but had a short power band. That being said you could also tell the car was alot lighter then the 5th gen. I loved the fact that it had gears to boot. Now that GM offers the same gear, should be a good driver to.

    Cliffnotes:I'd buy one

Refering to the CAI, I think.

I'm guessing he meant "tune" since the B button is right next to the N button.

Its my understanding that this car is geared like a supra with a fifth of 1 to 1.. If that's the case a 3.73 in this car would be more like a 4.10 or.30...

Do u know what ur fourth gear ratio is? If we multiply that by 3.73 it would give us an effective ratio of ur gearing in 4th..

I've thought about it more now then ever, the late model cars really generate buisness for the exhaust side of the shop.

The only negative thing about the car I have to say is the stock shifter is junk.

I dont get on tech much Mr. Steve, hardly ever anymore. The reason you don't see any fast Camaros is most of them who bought them have the thought that they bought a piece of history and have the mentality that they have just bought the ultimate dream car. It's like the whole Buick Grand National crowd all over again.
