  • Need laptop help

I have a HP laptop my wife bought me for Christmas 2007. It sits on the coffee table and is used for surfing/checking email. My youngest uses it for WOW on occasion and I think he has acquired some malware or something. It is slow as shit and takes forever to do anything.

What would it cost me to fix this thing?

I can help ya but I don't quote prices. All I ask anyone who offers to pay is pay me whatever it is worth to you. It's a "hobby" for me so I don't have to rely on whatever income I generate w/it.

    Call me if you'd like

EDIT: Chances are I can take care of it completely via remote connection, so no travel time for either of us.

There's a method to the madness. It's less likely to be harvested and me get spam calls.

Yea, I know, just being silly. It's hard for a computer to decipher that kind of text.

This thing is taking forever to fire up so I can give you a call. A "Whitesmoke" thing loads automatically and it won't let me remove it from the "add/remove programs".

Can u do this remotely via wi-fi?

I actually ran the CD that came with the wireless router and basically reconfigured it. It is now secure again.
