  • Google Chrome issue...

Each time I close the browser my preferences go away and when I open it it tells me that they were unable to load and wont be saved. I have uninstalled and reinstalled without any luck. Also, my desktop picture wont show. I can make any pic my wallpaper and it shows in the desktop properties but the screen is just a blue background. Any ideas?

It sounds like the profile for Chrome is corrupt. You need to backup your "favorites/bookmarks" and completely uninstall and remove all traces of Chrome. This can be done w/ Revo Uninstaller Be sure to use Advanced Mode and delete all that it finds. When that's done, reboot and reinstall then re-import you faves.

For your desktop image, it sounds like Active Desktop is disabled. Clicky

The Chrome issue is resolved. The desktop issue isnt. What you had me do just put my browser home page as my desktop. I want an image in my picture gallery as my wallpaper. It shows that it is set as the correct picture when I right click on the desktop and select properties but my actual desktop is a blue screen. Thanks for the help.

While we're on the topic, I have a problem that periodically occurs where the back button brings me back two pages instead of one. Basically the last page viewed is completely erased. Any ideas? It's hard to duplicate since it only happens every so often. Not a big deal but is a bit of an annoyance when it does happen.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Mine does that too on occasion but only on Chrome and not on IE.

Did my instructions help w/ the Chrome issue and what did you do to correct the desktop issue?
