  • Cleaning a netbook before I sell it?

whats the best/easiest way to clean a netbook WITHOUT reformatting it.

Its only been used to surf the net so nothing too personal but I'd like to do my best to clean it up. hoping maybe theres software or something?

I'd use the factory restore partition then let the buyer install the updates.

I know my recommendation isn't what you wanted to hear but it's the easiest and quickest to ensure it's "clean".

who doesn't want to hear that?

factory recovery partition is easy... takes a while, but you hit a few buttons and you're rolling

I made the comment because of his stipulation to not format it.

I did take your advice. everything went smooth and its ready to go tomorrow. I wasn't sure what to do since it didn't have a CD rom but this worked perfect....thanks for the tip! Now I get to start looking for laptops to replace it with. How do you feel about the Dell XPS laptops? I've had pretty good luck with Dell so far

I just didn't want to go to the hassle of jump drives or cds or any of the hard stuff...I was just being lazy. the factory reset was easy and quick though. thanks again
