PC COD Black Ops problem...

I have DL'd this via Steam. When opened, the intro starts yet has the working/mouse pointer while it plays. When the intro is done the screen then states to "press any key to continue" yet the working/mouse pointer is still on screen and there is no keyboard control as well as no game pointer control therefore no key can be pressed to continue. I am at a complete loss. This plays fine on my laptop. Only thing done so far is DL'ing the latest vid. drivers. Any suggestions?

I have:
Intel 15-750 CPU
Asus P7P55 Pro
8GB of Ramz
ITB WD SAT2 2 1TB mirrored HD's
Coolermaster 600W PS
Coolermaster CM690 tower
2 LG 22X R/W DVD
BFG GTX 285 OC2 1GB DDR3

Should easily handle the game.

well, have you looked on the steam forums for duplicates of your problem? Maybe it did a bad install.

I haven't gotten that far yet. I didn't want to play it on the laptop. I searched Steam a little bit, but didn't find anything other than people bitching about how it stutters and freezes. I've installed the game three times to no avail. I just posted over there so we'll see what happens...
