  • Should we worry?

Email that I recieved. What do you guys think???

For the last several years a company called "The Freedom Group" has been buying up American gun and ammunition manufacturers.

    Some of these companies are:

    Bushmaster,
    Marlin,
    Remington,
    DPMS,
    Dakota Arms and
    H&R.
    DPMS Panther Arms
    NEF
    Dakota Arms
    LC Smith
    Parker
    AAC
    Barnes Bullets
    EOTAC
    INTC

Some people worry that Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. Of course, If you control the manufacturers you can decide not to sell to civilians, or, you can raise the prices to ridiculous levels or you can make the supply of guns and ammo scarce - all sorts of logjams.

What a perfect way to control America's guns!

If you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a Wall Street investment company called "Cerberus Capital Management".

"Cerberus" in the epic book "The Inferno" by Dante Alighieri, is a three-headed demon hound (from Roman mythology) that guards the Gates of Hell to prevent those damned souls who have just crossed the river Styx, from escaping back to the world.

    Investor GEORGE SOROS owns Cerberus!

Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out - and quickly! Why have we not heard about this in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG news.

The absence of big media coverage on this important subject should be BIG news to you, too!

Investment companies don't buy companies to shut them down, or price themselves out of business. They are in it to make money, and not selling guns and ammo means no profit.

I can see how price hikes within reason are possible, but not shutting down the entire civilian market.

I wasn't too worried until I saw "Cerberus". George Soros, well, words can't express what truly awful creature he is. His goal seems to be to destroy the world and stand atop the ashes that remain. If it is, in fact, true that Freedom Group/Cerberus/Soros have any financial interest whatsoever in any of those companies, they have lost my business. I would not knowingly ever put so much as a penny in that piece of shits pocket.

Soros is 81 years old and from the looks of his pictures, isn't long for this world.

Seriously, Aarron, you're naive. Soros is a billionaire, as Matt says is 81, and doesn't give a shit. He has been pushing for gun control for as long as I've paid attention to politics, and will do anything he can to achieve that goal. Do you really think he gives a rats ass about a few years interest off his investments? This is evidently something he has been working on for some time, consequently the cost has been spread out.

Now, to your points: If he buys the company, all tooling, rights to the patents, etc. and then shuts them down, he achieved his goal. Granted, it cost him a pretty penny to do so, but he achieved his goal, is still a billionaire, and still doesn't give a shit because he achieved his goal and is still filthy rich.

As for price increases, let's say he does increase prices dramatically: He makes a large portion of his money back pretty quickly in the ensuing panic. Those purchases no longer cost him a pretty penny at that point. Then he shuts them down. He still wins, temporarily. We still lose, temporarily. What he can't eliminate is the pool of knowledge required to reproduce all this *stuff*. He can buy it all, destroy it all, and we will develop more.

That said, he knows this. Do we have more laws coming at us that will make it illegal to start new gun or ammunition related companies? Red tape similar to that our energy companies have to deal with? How can they prevent that from occurring? This is the larger concern, to me at least.

I'd be more concerned about their quality issues than anything. Post Cerberus Remingtons and Marlins aren't as high quality as pre-buyout examples.

Didn't Cerberus own Chrysler up until the bailout?

yea that bastard has a birth certificate from Hawaii and his mother was an American citizen how dare he try to scam people into thinking he was a US citizen.

Back to the Soros conspiracy that would be billions of dollars thrown away if he decided to stop production. He's in the buisness of making money, and knows that if production is halted there are lots of people that can step up and take that market share. Plus the outcry from the us citizen would probably force the US government to step in and use its monopoly breaking abilities.
