Those, gentlemen, are different rifles entirely. Lowball the $150 offer. I don't care who's selling them for what amount of money. An SKS will never be worth more than $100 to me.

Last time I checked they were selling for about twice that without the scope. They used to sell for $100 or less but I don't think we will see those days again. I've probably only got about 200 rounds through my Norinco SKS but it's been flawless so far. If I was in the market for one and it was in good condition, I would buy it.

I remember when you could go to the gun show and they had crates of them. Pick and pull for $79. Yeap them days are gone.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

              LMAO @ Ivan!!!

The man knows his Americans. Ya, if you purchase one for a displaypiece or paperweight, I'd say MAYBE at best. Don't cheap out. At least get an actual AK.

LMAO!! Ol' Chesnokov hit the nail on the head.

I wouldn't waste my money on an SKS, but if its cheap enough, what the hell.

I've had my Norinco for longer than I can remember and it's always been great. Scopes are a complete waste on them though, they get knocked out of zero pretty much every time you fire, no matter what you do. Iron sights, ftw.
Also, mine has always seemed to prefer surplus/cheapo ammo, it isn't nearly as accurate with the big name brands.
I have probably put 5000-6000 rounds through it and as far as I can remember, not one single ftf or fte.

I was at a gun show last week in Allentown, PA and they had the crates, they were 96 per rifle I think though.

An old ex military co-worker had one of those and he was very happy with it.

I was at the range with him, with it he shot a ~1.5 inch grouping @ 50 yards.... standing up!

His was in semi-original condition, iron sites, etc..

LOL @ the Russian dude's comments..

                      His was a Yugo SKS.

Yes, the Norinco SKS's are very good. $150 is a decent price.

I changed my stock since they come really short, and added a detachable mag. Otherwise, I shoot it when I get a chance and it does well.

I had a Norico sporter sks that took ak clips. They are much nicer than the crate ones. I paid 225 at a gun show 15 years ago. I fired a shit load of rounds threw it never a single problem. Wish I still had it. I traded it to a DPS buddy for the Beretta .40 I have now.
