I'm tired of hearing from the libtards about how republicans and conservatives and such are "Xenophobic". And "homophobic". The root word phobic means fear. I can assure them that I have absolutely no fear of these things. Nor does anyone else who doesn't like them. Disgust is an entirely different emotion than fear, you retards. As is distaste. Thoughts?

pho-bi-a
-noun
a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.
And yes, it is overused by the liberals. Anytime anyone disagrees with any of their agenda or, in some cases, shows anything less than exuberant concurrence with them they are automatically labeled as "____phobic". Anybody with anything resembling an education can see it for what it is though, a logical fallacy and a classic one."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

They apply a fear-label to you, so they can avoid the logic of the argument. Once you're labeled, the tendency is to prove you are not the label, rather than focus on the actual argument.
I believe it's in the Saul Alinsky handbook."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

Homophobia means more than "same fear". As I said, look it up in the dictionary if you need to.

I think I can say with honesty that I'm not a hater. I don't hate gays. I disapprove, but I don't hate. I've actually met some pretty cool gay dudes in my day. Its more like disgust, or high distaste. Sorry but the thought of two dudes going at it is just gross, and unnatural. Nature didn't intend this. Nature intended for the dude to stick his wang into the proper receptacle, for obvious reasons. Same goes for the dikes I guess.

They're going to try to deduce what an unfamiliar word might mean. When you're in your car, or sitting in front of a TV, I doubt you keep a big thick webster's right there next to you, just in case.
But you see my point, right? The word has much less to do with fear in most of its common uses, making your OP sound a slight bit ignorant. Are it and the other "phobias" way overused? Absofuckinglutely.
When I hear "blow job", I don't assume a girl is going to blow on my penis. Nor am I going to pay her for the "job".

Yes you may have a good understanding of the english language, but you don't know every word in it. Your "blow job" example is a good one. If a similar term came up, you may not know what it referred to. So it is with the general populace.Last edited by SMEGMA STENCH; 12-28-2010, 06:06 PM.
