I'm gathering that Jellybean is the latest and greatest version, so I assume I need to do searches related to that because the other root/ROM stuff doesn't apply to JB?

Also, are there anything like iOS emulators that may allow me to use things like my car deck that has iPhone control for Pandora?

The latest and greatest is 4.1.2 (?) whatever ships with the LG Nexus 4.

              I'm running cm10 monthly2 on my sgs3 with the nexus 4 camera/gallery app.

get a case for the SGIII.. mine feels like it was made from the cheapest Shit material and will fall apart in my hands. Im scared to put it in my pocket with fears of it bending.. The Iphone felt 10x more solid and better constructed.

sO far the SGIII hasnt impressed me.

So is there a "good" ROM? I just want a fast phone without all the crap I don't use

I've been reading up, but it seems like the more I read, the more confused I get.

Paranoid android, AOKP and CM10 will be your best bet for speed and battery life.

If you want to retain a stock like look, try Triune.

So to "fix" the best phone out there, you have to change everything and start over?

<---has i4 and trying to decide between a 5 and the SGIII. Still undecided, but will be shopping Monday.

No, there's nothing wrong with they phone in stock form, however, if you want to push the limits, you have a lil work to do. Unlike Apple, no other oem has been able to keep bloatoff of their devices and that just comes down to Apple being a control freak.

Get with me when you are able to change more than a wallpaper or move icons around on an iPhone in stock form.
