local shop has pmags for @30 still, very pleased that he's not gouging like so many others. Blast & Past in Whitesboro, TX, Matt (the owner) is an extremely nice guy. Look him up if you are in the market for anything.

It does matter. You shouldnt just accept the fact that people screw something up because they dont know any better. You should correct them to help them understand the difference. Otherwise you have a bunch of people calling magazines clips because they saw it on the news. This is basic communication 101.

Let me make it really easy for you to understand since you are an "engineer".

If I were to come to the company you work for and ask them to design me a rifle with a 10 round clip and I received a rifle with a 10 round magazine, I would take my business elsewhere and make sure everyone knew that your company was too fucking stupid to know the difference between a magazine and a clip.

In my possession are weapons that use clips and ones that use magazines. I will strive to use correct verbage that will conform with the strict guidelines required on this site!

It is not causing a fuss at all, but there are a shitload of people out there that actually have no idea what the difference in the two actually is.
You shouldnt have to strive at all to get this right.....should be really natural and hard to screw up. Kinda like the difference in drum brakes and disc brakes. Would you take a picture of a box of drum brakes at a swap meet and say "check out the price on these discs!"?

Lol I'm just fucking with you because CJ jumped on his high horse about his superior knowledge of firearms when I used the term clip as if no one knows better. My point was it's common usage and doesn't make a shit of difference. I see it no different than Kleenex, escalator, xerox or many other words taking an expanded meaning.
