    Can anything be recovered or saved on ram or everything is on the hard drive?

    I'm 99% sure there's nothing recoverable on ram, pertinent data is stored on the hdd.

        That's what I thought. Upgrading for someone and they didn't want me to keep the ram because I might be able to get info off of it.

          I've never tried this and can't imagine too many people would go to the trouble. Now dumping the memory from a running pc is easy to do with the right tools and can have lots of good info.
