  • iPhone5 users, few questions...

There's a chance work my set me up with one.

What does everyone 'not' like about this phone?

I guess the 'likes' are a bit obvious.

Can you tether the 4G internet off it (like all my droid phones)?

I don't like the fact that I waited so long to get an iPhone. I love it

My only complaint is screen size compared to some of the droids. You get some occasional app crashes but they are normally third party ones

As far as tethering, you will have to Jailbreak it. What I don't miss about it since switching to Android is having to import everything into iTunes and synch to it, I much prefer drag and drop. What I do miss about iTunes is that I believe the music app is much superior to anything you can get with Android. Granted I've only tried a couple of music apps on Android but that's about the only thing I miss from having an iPhone.

I wonder how much drama there is into jail braking the 5?

The real tipping point is company picking up the phone and bill, saving me $120/mo or so...

I wouldn't assume much drama depending on the iOS version.

I wasn't sure since I haven't kept up with any of the iOS devices. I'm sure it will come around though.

I've had mine a few months now. My only complaint is the battery goes quickly if you're really using it a lot. I have charging cables at my desk, in the car, by the bed, etc. Otherwise I love it. This is my first iPhone. I had a BBerry Torch previously.

I don't know if it's a problem on the 5, but the last iOS update KILLED my battery life on my 4s. I'm down to 20% by 11 am, every day. Granted, I'm on it a lot for work. But a full charge used to last me a day.

There was a new update released yesterday, I think. That's not the one I'm talking about, just to be clear. It was the update prior to that. I have not installed the new release from yesterday, but the description mentions nothing about fixing that problem.

There was a new update released yesterday (6.1.0). Nothing in the notes about battery issues being dealt with. Your battery may just be fucked up, because my wife's 4s still gets a full day out of a charge.

You have things running in the background. Double click the main button, and close things that are still running, but don't need to be. YouTube is the worst.

Nope. I clean that out twice a day. It's the update, nearly every iPhone user I know has this issue. Our company has 20+ iPhones issued, and all of them have this problem. Not to mention, it wasn't an issue before the last update.

I'll agree with this. I've got a 5 and battery life has dropped noticeably.

not being able to (easily) swap the battery is so dumb

I guess it is possible though
