  • Is there an app for this?

My little brother has a serious issue with keeping track of his cell phone. He just got a Motorola Droid through Verizon. I have an iphone through AT&T. Is there an app like find my iphone that I can add to my phone to find his when he loses it?

Avast Anti-virus has it built in, however, I prefer the standalone product, Cerberus.

Huh? Does he need to put anti-virus on his phone?

The a/v is, imho, a wise thing to have. Cerberus can be activated via sms as well as the Web interface

Here's a ss from one of the Cerberus screens. Notice the bottom. One thing to note, if he uses a third party sms app(Go Sms, Handcent...), they can interfere with Cerberus by intercepting the sms commands. If you chose to use it, don't use third party sms apps.

Cerberus is the shit. Well worth the $4 or whatever it costs.

Cerberus has not had any issues with Handcent on my Razr Maxx

Send a remote command via text to your phone and then post back up.

Send it from a different device and see if the text cerberus (password) find comes through as a text rather than a command.

Then Handcent must have fixed the issue where it would intercept the commands. Good to know.
