So normally I would love to see a baseball/sports movie but I am torn on this movie. They keep showing trailers with hip hop music and it looks all out of sinc IMO. It really looks like baseball is not going to be part of the story for the most part.

Anyone think its going to be worth seeing?

Robinson's story is pretty entertaining. I'll see it, not a the theater, but i'll see it.

Curtis Floods doc on HBO was pretty damn interesting. I would love to have seen that into a movie.

Maybe the trailers just don't do this movie justice.

Nothing really wrong with that, but thats not a movie I want to see.

i think the movie will be more about robinson's struggles as a black man trying to play a white mans game at that time. it wont be a baseball movie as it will be more of a human struggle against inequality type movie.

I thought this was the conclusion to the Hitchhiker's Guide series. Anyways, it's already been done - Soul of the Game

If he had ruined his playing career to become an advocate for player free agency, maybe. He fell the fuck apart, though, so it's kind of anti-climactic.
