Cabela's won't give in stock gun info??

I'm looking for a Glock 19 and I have been told that the Cabela's Fort Worth has been stocking some.

I called the store and was told that they will not give any status on in stock gun items over the phone. They ask that you come into the store.

WTF?

I'm not driving a hour each way just to look at an empty shelf.....

I go by everyday at academy near my house because of the 3 box limit. I have already 3 times bought guns that came in that day because of me going there all the time.

Just about all of their customers are going to be far as hell. You can't buy anything if you don't come in. And I won't burn 100 miles of gas for a chance.

It's at least an 80 mile drive and 2 hours in the truck.

I'm about 10 minutes from F.W. Cabelas. I can run up there and ask any questions you have. Are you just wanting to know if they're in stock and if the pricing has gone up? Are they an authorized dealer that can honor the LEO discount?

I'm just looking for a NIB Glock 19. I've been on GT Distributor's waiting list since January.

If they have the LEO pricing, that would be great.

That's odd. When I was shopping for a semi-auto 12 ga., I called them and he confirmed that one was available. I had called both stores actually and they both helped me over the phone. Now granted I could tell they were busy and he was trying to keep it short, but he still checked over the phone.

I just texted my buddy that works for a gun store. I will PM if they have it in stock with price.

EDIT - He said they didn't have any in stock, don't know when they will, and any private gun company is asking stupid prices for them right now.

Sounds like you may need to keep trying Cabela's and see if you get someone more helpful on the phone..
