SKS? whats it worth?

I don't really know how much they are worth. I have a chance to buy one. What is a good price on one. It has a synthetic stock as far as I know.

I wouldn't pay more than $350 unless it came with a good bit of ammo.

If it's worth it to you, I can't say. Resale is generally above $300 if you wait for the right buyer and it doesn't seem to be coming back down.

Because they are made cheap and there are a shit ton of them out there.

They were a surplus rifle, inherently cheap. I bought several for $100 dollar bills when I was younger as well. I have always had good luck with them and they are easy to maintain and repair.

Just because nearly 10 years ago I was buying them for 59 dollars a gun, doesn't mean that is what they are worth today.

The Market Drives the value of guns today. And that market is like 350ish for a Yugo model, and 500ish for a Russian Model. The SKS that takes AK mags are even more these days.

If I were considering selling mine, it would take at least 450 - 500 but only because it has the original wood, a nice choate dragunov stock, decent scope mount and scope, and several 30 round mags along with a bolt mod to allow easy mag install and removal, feed ramp work to cure jams, and a little trigger work. Doesn't mean mines worth that, just that it would take that for me to consider selling. Also have a paratrooper model that takes the AK mags.

Yes, most use the duckbill style removable or the fixed 10 round box style with real door release.
