Tactical AK Mag Catch

Anyone ever swap out the mag catch on an AK? I was thinking of putting this mag catch on my Saiga conversion.

Just curious how difficult it is. From my reading on the net, most people say it is one of the more difficult things to do on an AK. Just does not look that difficult. Maybe requires a lot of patience. Just curious if it is worth the effort.

They aren't too bad but the spring can be a pain at times.I really dont see the point. The factory ones arent difficult at all. Whatever floats your boat.

Lol, putting a new mag catch on an ak is kind of a pain in the ass. There is a trick to rolling it in you will want to YouTube. It can be a tedious pita or go smoothly. Whichever the ak decides.

I think randy is use to the standard catch. The saiga catch is small and sharp, so I can appreciate you wanting to change it.

The truth is I effed it up. It was the last thing I did on the conversion, and I have done several, but I got in a hurry because I was trying to get it to my buddy so he could park and paint it. I shaved off a bit too much. It functions fine, but the slop just annoys the hell out of me.
