Anyone else have this shit. It's kicking my ass tonight. My meds aren't doing shit. But it's just the start of taking them.

I know you want seconds, but there's no need to shout.

                  lots of people do.

It was originally called the disease of kings, typically associated to drinking lots of booze, eating high protein diets, and drinking carbonated beverages.

I've gotten it a time or two, it's as bad as kidney stones but in your big toe!

Been a while since I've had a flair up.

My uncle has suffered from that for as long as I've known. Sounds painful and he manages to push through as far as work goes but has skipped a lot of family functions over the years.
He drinks like a fish though, always has a Miller Light in his hand and in the ice chest with him when around so I guess he's not doing himself any favors regarding it.
                        Good luck with it.

I thought that was where people get the big bulbous things on their necks. Had no idea it was related to the feet until just now googling it:

                          gout
                          noun
                          1.
a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, especially in the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalkstones, and episodes of acute pain.
So what is that neck thing?? I remember being told about it in elementary school.. Something to do with a lack of something in the diet that people used to get a long time ago. Hell.. That's going to bug the shit out of me. Time to do some more googling I guess.

Have it now for 20 years. I take colcry, alipurinal, probicin not sure of any of the spelling on them daily. Have only had two bad attacks in last decade. When those attacks happened I went to my Dr and he gave me a IV of steroids and it helped a lot. Might want to talk to your Dr.
