Tell me your display port woes if any. I've had display port sleep issues since the 980 release across 2 chipsets. Most times when I'm running 2 monitors.

It works when 1 monitor is plugged in always but when I have 2 its like it can't decide sometimes and it goes to my living room 4k screen instead of my pc screen I use the most.

It just looks like it will chose HDMI over DP when booting until I reboot or actually start pulling cables. I've pretty much just leave me 3440x1440 plugged in only to avoid this.

I had similar issues when I ran my 3008wfp+2007fp in portrait. I only experienced them when I upgraded to Win10. I'm guessing it was a driver bug, can't be for certain though. As of a few days ago, I retired my old display setups and got onto the xb270hu hype train (man this bitch is badass).

displayPort and windows act very weird because of the way windows detects monitors. Every time a displayPort monitor turns off or goes to sleep, Windows thinks its a brand new one when its turned back on even if you didnt unplug the cable. The easiest fix is to not use displayPort and to use HDMI cables instead.

I had this same problem with my 4k monitor using displayPort, I ended up just disabling sleep mode on the monitor and never turning it off. I had it set to blank the screen but not turn it off. Shit was annoying as fuck. In my case it would change my resolution to 800x600 and all my windows would show up in the top left when i turned the monitor back on.

Funny you mentioned that. I run two screens on my system. The primary is a 4k, secondary is 1080p. What I've discovered is if I power up my secondary screen first, it will make it the primary, and cause all kinds of hell. It seems as if when I power off my primary screen, it's dropping off my hardware devices. When I power it up, I get the new hardware sound, weird issue. I don't see why windows would think display devices are removable hardware.

I did this and it hasn't stayed in sleep mode all day.
