  • Carbine training

I've been wanting to make the jump into shooting rifles for a while now, so I finally decided to do so. The AR should be here this week, but I'm extremely limited in knowledge in this area. Ideally I'd want to start with a basic carbine class and then get into something more advanced down the line. I'd briefly looked around and noticed a couple of ranges that do a basic carbine class. Does anyone have any recommendations for a beginner class and then perhaps something advanced down the line?

Shoot Smart has a several levels of Carbine classes that they teach. You have to take them in their order, such as you have take Level 1 before 2. A few of us here have taken their first couple. I only took their level 1 because of time constraints but it is a good course.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Group 6 Training. They have a really great carbine class and just about any other firearm training you want. Former swat sniper runs it.

Thanks for the info. I just missed the training in June and he only does it like twice a year for carbine. But, we're going to do one on one training next week for 4 hours... should be good!

Mike is a good dude. He is one of the best instructors I have taught with, and he makes things very simple and fun.
