Use to have a few BM59s. They're nice shooting guns.

I have had a bunch over the years and gave my last one to my ex but I believe that it was marked as a BM62. They are great shooters but the parts and mags are expensive nowadays. If you buy one do yourself a favor and buy a complete parts kit to rob for parts and pack rat as many mags as you can afford. The ones that I have owned were all made by Beretta and that used to tickle me a bunch for some reason that I can not explain.

Edit: I once bought what I thought was a BM59 but the normal BM59 mags were to short to fit the mag-well. It turned out to be an M1 that had been modded to take BAR mags.

Edit II: I just checked parts kit prices for these and I have never seen them this low. They can be built on modded M1 receivers and I see myself doing this in the near future.

I have been thinking about building one for a while now. Looks like it can be done for right about a grand.
