Jezza, Hamster, and Capt Slow are BACK! It was like scratching an itch that you couldn't reach for a long time. It was GREATNESS! It wasn't perfect. The Stig replacement (called, The American) was just a bit boring. I liked the concept but they should look for a different driver. Killing Jeremy Renner was funny but they should have stopped killing celebs at that point and moved on.

The trinity car comparison was GREATNESS. The Opening was GREATNESS. The theme song was GREATNESS. There was so much GREATNESS.

It wasn't perfect but it was a DAMN good start for a first episode. Well done.

I actually had a warm and fuzzy feeling watching the show. Great to see them back at it. The skydiving accident was unfortunate though.

I had the same fuzzy feeling and a big sigh of releif. They mentioned doing the show for at least 3 years but god i hope it goes longer than that. The new track will take a little getting used to.

They are under contract to produce 12 shows a year over the next 3 years. Unless a major network decides they are willing to fight BBC over intellectual property and pick up the show I'd imagine Amazon will do everything they can to extend them. Clarkson is the oldest and he'll be 59 when the contract is up, a little young to retire.

Episode 2 kinda sucked. The Vulcan review was greatness, but then it was all down hill from there.

The American just needs to shut up or then need to write better crap for him to say.

Agreed, across the board. They can do better.

I thought the second episode was pretty funny, especially considering how they based it off of Edge of Tomorrow. But I do agree that The American either needs better lines or needs to just shut up. Really? NASCAR? They couldn't find a better qualified driver? Not saying he's bad but I figured they would be able to get a better driver is all.

he looks like he may not survive the 3 year contract.
