What's your favorite 1911?

I think my next handgun will be a 1911 45. What's your favorite brand? Colt and CZ are at the top of my list, I've seen a lot of Rock Islands, but I don't know anything about them. I'd like to hear what others like and why....

My favorite 1911 style pistol is the Springfield EMP. I have the 9mm 3" version and sold an identical one in .40 to another board member. Extremely nice and reliable little guns.

Buddy of mine just bought one of these used for 800.00. I like the looks of it..



He took it to the range and said it jammed alot so is going to try different ammo. (Of course I told him to stop limp wristing it.)

I have a Springfield National Match from the early 90's. It is the last of the billet upper slide era. CJ blasted it for me so I can Cerakote it and I need to order some upgrades first before I pick it up from him to coat and put back together.

I don't own one yet, but my buddy has a Colt lightweight for sale, I was over finger fucking it the other night. I might have to take it off his hands. I really want an STI though.
