Anyone taken the skid plate off their 09-14 ecoboost?

I hate having to hand fuck around this thing to get to my oil filter. The truck will never see offroad, so do I have any reason to leave it on?

Has anyone taken theirs off, and did you regret it something about it afterwards?

I don't even bother, Ford here will do the oil change for $29 plus tax, idk that I can buy the motorcraft and filter for that price.

i took off the little plastic/carpeted sound shield off mine. its an fx2, so not sure if we talking about the same thing.

Yea, this is an fx2 tremor. Has the same damn flap, then skid plate, then engine/transmission cover too.

Just an overall worthless extension of time to change oil.

Fuck it, it's coming off this weekend.

I do know some so called ''skid plates'' are actually used to help increase fuel mileage..So you may want to monitor before and after to see if theres a difference

I have a 15 ecoboost and that plate is a major pita.
