1000% agree. Just carry on and watch the "highlights" on the news tomorrow evening.

What's wrong with letting people have a little fun with this? I've never witnessed a solar eclipse like this, but supposedly it's a kind of science fun that video highlights can't do justice to. We'll see. Either way, no reason to be a grumpy bitch about it.

Look toward 2024, there will be a total eclipse path through DFW.

because i read shit like this... How much alien stimulation can the mind process in just a little over two minutes? That's all it take for the solar eclipse!

LOL. Exactly. I'll be 500ft. up on a butte where there will be 99.9% totality and will be able to see the shadow race across a valley floor. Should be awesome. If I get video I'll try and post it.

Since this is been a thing I keep thinking aliens from Mars Attacks will make themselves known.

We had a good time with the neighbors and my redneck solar projector.

It was interesting. I didn't buy any viewing glasses or set up a box, but I did step outside to look around. Everything was slightly dimmer, as though I was viewing the world through a light pair of sunglasses. The exterior lights for my house have a light sensor, and it was dark enough to trigger them to come on.

Standing in the sunlight was much cooler than usual.

The crescent-shaped shadows of leaves was creepy.

Overall I give it a 7/10 experience, would do again.

I noted that as well. The weather here today would have been perfect for a total eclipse, hope it's that way in 2024.

Yeah that was pretty fun. Enough to look forward to the next one that'll have us in the sweet spot.

Best shot of the day. Once it was in full eclipse the temperature dropped at least 10* if not more. Most awesome thing I've ever seen.
