  • Hail repair recommendations

So my 2014 GT was hit in a big hail storm back in March and I'm ready to get it fixed... got the insurance adjuster out and he said it's about $7500 in damage. It will need a mix of PDR and a few panels like the hood and trunk replaced so it will need paint and blend on those as well. The last shop I used for this type of thing was Herb's and I wasn't impressed with their paint work (way more orange peel than factory) so I'm looking for other recommendations.

In the past I used National Dent Direct on my wife's Corolla LE Plus. It's the best experience I've ever had with PDR work. They come to your house to pick up your car and leave you with a rental. Then after 3-5 days they drop off your car and take the rental. It's a no brainer. Literally no effort on your part. And the car looked liked it was brand new again. They take care of all the insurance issues for you and I didn't even have to pay a deductible.

I'm looking for something like this for sure... even already have a claim going with insurance so I hope that doesn't throw a wrench into it for something like this.

I work at Linear Automotive in Plano and we do very top notch work.

Linear Automotive Collision & Service offers certified auto repair & collision repair in Plano, TX for accidents, hail damage dent repair, & factory maintenance

The fact that you already have an open estimate of record with your insurance company is actually good. That's what the estimator will go off of and submit supplements if necessary.

If you would like to call or come to the shop tomorrow one of my body shop estimators can get you taken care of. I handle all of the service work there.

I've only used Glen (Dentguru) on all of my customers cars and my personal cars in the last 14 years, he has always done a fantastic job.

I took my car here on a recommendation from a friend, and because it was close to work: http://detailsltd.com/

The owner, Ron, is a straight-forward guy and they do great work. My BRZ looked brand new after they fixed it up, and they took no shortcuts.

Certified auto hail repair, 3741 mingo road suite 202 in denton, 214-932-3454. Sam is my shop neighbor, dude does amazing work and does extra to keep his customers happy and he hasn't had a car come in yet that's been totalled even if it means doing work off the books before the adjuster looks at it. Stand up dude.

I've used them twice, although not for PDR. Top notch and don't use aftermarket parts unless they forced.

Only about 4 hours of my job was PDR. The rest of it was a brand new OEM hood, fender, and deck lid. Their work was awesome in every regard.

you should get an all oem rider on your policy.

Well that's good info right there, thanks. I wasn't aware that was an option.
