  • Can someone chk if I have a carfax report on my car?

I had a very minor fender bender, clipped a car just barely and did little damage to the corner. Can someone check if there is a carfax reported for it?

    VIN: 1fatp8ff0h5271650
the Zero's may be letter O's not sure

    TIA!

If you claimed it on insurance then it will be. If you paid cash to get it fixed then it won't.

Not always, when we got rear ended in the truck, the other driver had no insurance, filed on mine, no car fax on the truck.

I was pissed when it happened, I bet it was $500 damage to his car. He called the cops because he thought I didn't have insurance. WTF!!!

We had a work truck get hit and the other guys insurance fixed it (progressive). I ran the car fax when I went to sell it a few years later and it was clean. So this is not always the case.

The majority of body shops don't report any records to carfax.

What the hell carfax? I thought you were a trusted source to tell me if a car had been in an accident!

My truck only shows 1 hail damage claim which was declared as a total loss but has been repaired twice by insurance.

Mine has had both doors replaced, paint work on both sides, and the only accident reported was a tap to the trailer hitch that didnt cause damage to my truck but totaled the other car.

                      Thx guys, I appreciate it.
It was barely any damage, like under a grand to fix. I shoulda just buffed it out, no dents!

Nothing showing on Carfax right now doesn’t mean that my not populate later. We sold a CLS Mercedes to a customer back in 2016 and had a clean Carfax but in July 2017 Carfax started reporting an accident on it.

If you took your car to a body shop to get it estimated, there’s a high probability that they may have run the vin and whether you fix it or nt, they still may have reported to Carfax.
