  • For you bird fans..

Scored this little gem yesterday. Drives great, low miles, cold AC, 5.0. Grand pa's car. Gotta get some decent wheels, but I'm pretty happy.

Its an 86, Elan version.. Thinking black Welds should make it look a little less like gran pa's ride

Don't put welds on it. The car looks great, man. Just drive it.

Nice! At least it's the proper EFI.

Put some clean 10 holes on it and pimp it. I found this one yesterday but don’t need another project https://killeen.craigslist.org/cto/d...319469960.html

Do yourself a favor and order some new headlights for this car from https://www.danielsternlighting.com/ and a headlight wiring harness from https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/. On an 86 TC that I had improving the headlights was the single best thing I did to it that I enjoyed every single time I got in it. An alternator upgrade should also be on your to do list.

If you need them I have an NOS set of Tokico 87-88 TC shocks and struts.

I'd say definitely keep the old wheels, but hang them on the garage wall. Get something a little more modern so it doesn't have that air of "hoopty" about it even though it isn't one. But never part with the old wheels unless you part with the car. Also I'd like to request you post up more pics of the car including some interior pics.

That post reeks of bullshit. Can't find time to hook up oil or coolant lines but he says the block and bottom end are good and it has a newer turbo

That's code speak for it was pushing coolant and burning oil so I put a new head gasket on without inspecting the head and now it still smokes and burns coolant

Needs some black center Enkei mesh wheels. Or possibly some Weld RTS S77B black center wheels.

Thanks guys. I'll post up some pics next weekend. I love the black Enki's, had those on a blue one I had back in the day, looked great.
Had to head down to Beaumont to work on my father in laws house. He got flooded in Harvey. Time to hang some drywall back up. I hate this kinda work.. but hey, its family. I should be back by the weekend..

Let me know if you decide to part with that. I've been keeping one eye open for a stock, low mile V8 '86 Thunderbird.

PS, those 16" TRX wheels are awesome. I think a 16x7 wheel fits those cars perfectly.
