  • Does anyone use Solidworks

I'm working on updating my shapeways store to make some of the products that I have designed available for sale.

Is there anyone that uses solidworks, or can edit the files and had the ability to set parts up as multiples? Right now, everything is uploaded as a single part. I would like to have some of them uploaded as multiple parts per item.

Example: 1 wheel center is currently open for sale. I would like to offer it as a single purchase for 4 wheel centers, so the STL file would need to include the drawing for the 1 wheel center 4 times.

This reduces the overall cost to purchase items due to the way that shapeways prices them.

I've got solidworks. Just haven't had the time to mess with it and figure it out! Is fusion easier to use?

I would consider both of them really easy to use so I'm not sure I can differentiate.

Just pattern the solid. Make sure you have 4 solid bodies when the pattern is complete. Then save as the STL.

I think you also have to connect them with a tiny piece of the part to make them all 1 piece
