  • going from carb to fuel injection - help needed

I have a 67 coupe with the drive train from a 92 fox. Previous owner went carburated. I came across a 90 fox with blown head gaskets and I want to swap the intake and fuel injection for my 67 coupe.

Anyone ever done it? It's the same exact block but I know I'll need new fuel lines and an external fuel pump. I've googled but haven't really found a good "how to".

Any help is appreciated! Y'all rock!

Is this what your looking for?

5.0L (1979-1995) Mustang - Carb To EFI Conversion Write Up - As some of you know I just recently converted my 93 from a carb setup to an Mass Air EFI setup. I figured I would go ahead and make a write up on the parts needed and what to do. However I didn't have that thought till today so I didn't take many pics but...

With all the new technology why go backward? The caps are failing on a lot of
    the old ecu's.
This is as bolt on now as possible and tunable by laptop.

I agree with everything above and x2 on eec-iv’s being outrageously priced, hard to find, and probably have failed or soon to fail capacitors.

But what are you recommending instead?

If I were converting a musclecar to EFI, I’d go Holley sniper and never look back. Simple, modern, easy install and all the benefits of EFI. You can do this in a weekend. You’ll fight an EEC harness, sensors, old computer and it may never be right.
