  • I'm down to one mustang now...

Back in 2014 I bought my daily GT/CS and said I'll drive it until the kids can't fit... well, the time has come and they don't fit. Plus I can drive the 92 now and outside of no AC it's pretty damn good.

So, I traded in the GT on a new GMC Sierra 1500 X31 SLT. I shopped around for F150's, Silverado's, Ram's, etc... and none of them came close to the features per dollar I got on this one. Not to mention I prefer the look overall but also like the F150. I do like the Tundra exterior but the MPG and the interior were/are trash.

The new truck... it's been a long day so pictures suck but it's just a Sierra 1500.

Of the GM twins, the GMC is far better looking. But either way the square, or whatever that shape is now, wheel arches just ruin the profile.

Badass looking truck man! I can’t believe truck have been around this long and companies are just now putting steps in the corner of bumpers.... you will definitely use them!

I agree it looks way better than the Silverado, but the wheel arches don't bother me at all to be honest.

Thanks! I thought about the AT4 but the extras didn't justify the almost 10k jump in sticker price for me when I can put a 2" leveling lift on mine pretty cheap. I'd love the 6.2 but won't tow enough to justify that either. Your truck sounds bad ass, just more than I needed or was willing to spend, even though they AT4 is pretty awesome.

Yeah, I really like that feature, GM has been doing it for around 5-8 years now I think? The Multipro Tailgate is also pretty cool, not sure how much I will use it, but it's a neat feature.

So far my favorite feature is the cooled/vented seats!

Thanks. The AT4 and 6.2 are a little excessive but I have owned a few 6.2 trucks now and just can’t see it any other way. The hot rodder in me needs more power! Plus it got the 10 speed which I really like. As far as the “lift” goes for the AT4 yes you can level yours but there is a ton more stuff going for it. Entirely different interior colors and longer cv shafts were two of the things that I really liked. Was it worth the premium? Probably not but I like it.

Slightly lifted factory truck. GMC has had an all terrain pkg for their Sierra for years. The AT4 kinda took that and merged it with the Denali and an off road oriented sport trim level.

The 2024 Sierra 1500 AT4 and AT4X are the peak of premium off-roading with Dynamic Fuel Management, a 3.0L Duramax? Turbo-Diesel engine, Off-road Suspension, and more.

Oh I'm sure there's a lot more, and the leather inside is different too... I just don't need and won't ever use that so it wasn't worth it for me. Mine has the 10spd as well, but only the 5.3... le sigh.

Being down to one fun car seems smart from where I sit. I need to clear out two or three.

That’s good. Didn’t realize the 5.3 got the 10 spd too. It’s such a minor thing but the AT4 gets a black headliner to match the rest of the black int and I have always hated how pillars and headliners were neutral colored. I like the white and chrome. That would have been my go to if not for the AT4.

See I'm the opposite, I wish it had way less chrome or even the AT4 black chrome, and I love the body colored bumpers. I just couldn't swallow the extra money for that, not important enough for me.

I'm with you. My truck is body colored bumpers and black trim/black light lenses.
