Does anyone happen to have a rear sight for an AK lying around that they'd part with cheap?

I do not but your subject line made me curious:

"On Sept. 24, 2019, the team gathered again to work with the .416 Barrett for a four-mile shot.

"Now, not only are me and my teammates champions in competitive shooting, we've taken it one step further by making shots at these extreme distances," Phillips said. "The reason for this was testing new products for military and extreme long-range shooting. Also, we are working with new ballistic solvers and heads-up displays that assist in us doing these types of things.

"… The things we're learning show we're learning how to push the envelope of how far we can shoot a shoulder-fired rifle."

Phillips said the four-mile shot, which was the equivalent of 7,070 yards, took 22 seconds to go from barrel to target and needed a Maximum Ordinate (the highest point in the trajectory of the bullet's flight) of 2,300 feet above the ground."
