Any suggestions for a cheap 12 inch sub that will hit hard with only 340rms?

already have a 12in box that fits nicely. had a sub in it (pioneer that sounded terrible), but did not have a grill on it and put a hole in it.

Kicker CompVr's sound nice. I have a 10 in my car and sounds pretty damn good with 300 watts rms @ 4ohm

i have 2 10 inch jl audio v2 and they sound NICE and there cheap, 110 each. i would suggest a 12 jl audio it will prolly be about 150 or so and at 340 watts will sound real good. my 2 10s are at 300 each and are LOUD, but i do have a custom made box. but i still think it will be nice.

              here's what i suggest:

and here are the ones that i have in my car:

and as you see i have mine a little overpowered but they will be ok.

i bought mine from earmark in Addison on beltline if you don't want to order online.

Well, I just checked and it is actually:

500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)

Not sure if this changes anyones advice or not.

Oh, and my box is a sealed 12 inch box. Would it be worth it to buy a ported box? I listen to a lot of rock and some dubstep (kind of like techno stuff) with lots of quick bass.

Cheap best bang for the buck would be a Dayton SUB-120 12"

Not muddy muddy (if calibrated properly) and can reach down with authority to the high 20Hz range. And they are cheap and can move some air. And it is important to use high grade dedicated sub woofer interconnect cables. Don't use a cheap RCA cable lying around in your parts box. I use MonsterBass 100 sub interconnects 6' for the time being until I get my 400sw's.

You should be fine with a sealed box...
