  • Awfully quiet in here.

So where are all the cruise results? I read the Thanks to thread but only a few post. Did 5.85 back it up? Was there really only a handful of peeps there?

I was thinking the same thing. Usually a lot of activity going on in here after a cruise weekend.

I wouldn't call it a flop but it was far from packed.

The main reason it's so quiet is because kodfwm and the brackets weren't run this time due to low turn out.

There was some good racing just not a ton of it. I personally had a blast and it was perfect for my daughters first time to the track.

I was thinking about going out there too, Saturday afternoon, when I had to drive out to Gearheads to pick up my hatch. Instead went out to Crandall. Could there maybe be too many cruises in a year?

I also would like to add that the track was pretty good, good enough to break a number of cars.

Yes, the turnout was horrible - I 100% expected it, but at the same time, I hoped for more.

A flop, this time, imho, yes. Too many of them in a year - No, I don't think so. Some seasons are better for certain members, we get a wide variety of attendance at each one - Usually between 75-100 cars and 400-500 attendees.

The main problem THIS time around (and I seem to remember this from one other time) is we happened to land on a major holiday weekend. One that people in general are known for cooking out, getting drunk, bieng at the lake etc... all that coupled with a major race bieng booked over our cruise date didn't do us any favors.

The cruises are fine, and will continue as they always have. You can't have record setting attendance at each one.

I had stuff going on as well.

Good think they passed out flyers! It would have been REALLY dead.

I couldn't make it this go around, because I had to work until 3, then I went to hospital, because my buddy had to have back surgery.

We had a good time. 1st pass ever on car and I broke a Wolf upper arm in half. Looks like I got a late Friday weld.
