  • And there was much rejoicing in the land.... Gas Prices

Gasoline Futures are currently at $1.68!!!!

DallasGasPrices.com shows prices as low at $2.17. We will definitely get below $2.00 at some point in the very near future.

The Texas oil industry is gonna take a hit but I think the State will make it up in other industries. Things are looking pretty nice IMO...

This is a bad thing. Someone will come along and explain shortly.

As long as you have a stable job that's not related to the O&G industry at all you'll probably be okay. That's assuming the Russians and Iranians don't start bombing the Saudis over it.

In Gainesville O&G is huge. If they cut back we will be hurting.

With how hard we've been dicked with gouged gas prices the past few years, I'm ok with them taking a hit for once instead of the consumer.

Finally, President Obama's policies are making life better for the working class!

I am enjoying the lower prices, not stupid enough to think its going to last long. I would think the O&G industry could surely hang tough for a few months waiting to see which way its going before big changes .

Everything I have read is they would not change anything at minimum 9 months of below 63 a barrel crude .

I'd say the odds of 1.99 at the pump for the next year is not very likely .

So the nation will see the cost of foods, goods and other services decrease? I can live with the oil and gas industry profits to decline.

Lower prices wouldn't hit that industry so hard if they didn't spend like teenage girls with Daddy's AmEx Black.

Not sympathetic. My economy sucks being in school, so my buying power is limited to groceries and gas. There isn't much beyond that I'm buying.
