  • Speaking for Natural Gas...Unfortunately the CNG Car thing isn't catching on like it was supposed to. The only hope are these Co-Gen Nat Gas plants and Crackers right now. I suppose exports too, but that will be a small %. Also these pipeline projects need approvals. They are denying/delaying pipelines like crazy even up here. NY and NE don't want them, but they like the product indirectly. Without the infrastructure producers are just going to pump the prices in the shitter again. Especially now, because of the state of the market they have become so efficient so when things pick up they will be much faster and for cheaper, thus producing way more. It's an evil cycle, Commodities are a bitch. lol

      • Thought you guys would enjoy these two facts.

Eclipse Resources just drilled a Marcellus well with an 18,000 ft lateral and 124 frac stages.

And CHK and DVN are doing some experiments they're jokingly referring to as Propageddon... Proppant rates of 5,000 lbs / lateral foot. On a 10,000 ft lateral thats 50 million pounds of sand. That's ~250 rail cars full.

That you still shouldn't buy it on Wednesday.

                • Was told today someone is purchasing the engines and pumps for 10 fleets, will find out soon if that is true.

                  • "Propageddon" is already old news...we just participated in a well fracked with 5,500 # per foot. It is the new norm for the operator we are working with. Giving reserves in the 2.5-3 BCF per 1,000' of lateral now.

SLB has pretty much owned us for the last eight months. We can't turn them fast enough.

                          • SLB did a lot of R&D and acquisitions during the downturn, they had the money to not cut everything like some companies.

One company doing 10 fleets, one company wants 500 pumps, several mid sized are ramping up. Here comes the fun of trying to stay caught up

They've been hiring/rehiring for about a month or so now. I've been seeing a lot more pipe trucks on the road, and Basic opened up another yard in the area.
