  • 10k diesel truck

I'm looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel and have roughly $10k to spend, I've been looking at 200k 6.6 duramax trucks, any suggetsions, I've heard the allisons last nearly forever but I'm not sure about the duramax motors.

No one should buy manual windows in 2015 for a daily driver.

What's wrong with manual windows? That's one less electrical problem.

fuuuuuuck a 200k mile Dmax. (fuck any Dmax IMO)

The Allison is alright in stock form.

I've got an '01 7.3 ECLB 4x4 lariat that's ugly as ball sack, but only has 169k on it, no blowby, cold AC, cruise, 4wd, etc. all work. fresh trans 50k ago. runs/drives great. It's not all hammered up, but it's gold and has a white bed on it.

It has brand new tires on it.

I'll take $6k for it as it sits.

I can't do the OBS trucks... they're just old as fuck at this point.

              and manual windows fucking suck.

I've had ONE... ONE power window fail out of 50+ vehicles and 22yrs of driving. It cost me $20 to fix.

340k on my 05 LLY Duramax and so far so good... But I also have a 00 F350 7.3 with 500k on it. Only put in 5 injectors and a HPOP so far.

My dads 07 LMM has almost 400k on it. Never had a mechanical issue, minus normal wear and tear items.

those trucks have either completely fallen apart, have been torn to hell and back by coal roller/ricers, or are severely overpriced

my biggest problem with the GM's is that the trucks are fucking junk...

I'll concede that Dodges are probably even shittier, but at least the engines are simple and easy to work on.

Sad truth right there. Hell, I can't remember the last time I saw one rolling down the road.

My 7.3 has been quite honestly, amazing. I treat it like complete shit and keeps on trucking without a hiccup. Gets decent mileage and will practically run on anything remotely oil based. Lol
