drove the turd to work this morning to get the oil changed and a state inspection. I have no idea how the kid could use this thing as a daily driver. anyway, next weekend it gets a new transmission, and maybe the power steering fixed. I still need to buy helmets for me and the wife. I'm stoked about the race on the 28th.

Man, the paint job turned out great. Along with the white gum balls for numbers, you need a Gulf logo, but maybe change one letter for the sake of comedy. I nominate: Gilf

Tires wont happen till after this event, but I'm still thinking the BFG's are the way to go. I'm ordering the steering rack today, and I need to figure out helmet sizes for me and the wife so I can order those.
I had the car up on a rack Saturday and got a good look at the belly. Looks like this car has already been jumped. the signs are there and easy to see. marks on the exhaust, driveshaft and tunnel, pinch welds are trashed, and the rad support is beat to hell. But she's solid enough for my plans.

going to swap the trans and power steering Saturday. Also need to paint the numbers on the doors.
