Eventually yes. To create a socialist society, the government must have the population dependent on it for all its basic needs and be docile. An armed citizen who can defend himself will never be docile.

That is assuming they'll ever get their socialist society. I believe the right is waking up to the threat of the left. If they ever get fully woke, its completely over for the left. There are still plenty on the right who don't think its as big of a threat to us as it is. Plus take a look at the modern left. They are quite literally devolving into insanity. They are getting worse and worse, and you can actually see them fracturing into groups that don't like each other. Killery may very well be the last big name globalist that the DNC will ever able to muster into running.

The Bernie people were quite pissed off. For the DNC to actually please the scum that they've gathered as a base, they're going to have to run people that make bernie look sane. Any white male they run will be at an immediate disadvantage with most of their base. That won't fare well against no nonsense repubs who are just looking to humble them and make them look stupid as trump did with hilary. My prediction is that the democrat party will be forced to change and become a lot more tame and sane, or they'll disintegrate. So far they're clearly choosing disintegration. If you even follow what is going on with them just a little bit, you have to know that things are definitely not going well for them. And they're getting desperate. People on the right, and people in the middle, are not down with the kind of human de-evolution they're pushing.

No. Not as long as Trump is in office. He talks about mental health issues behind these mass shootings, not guns. If we get a Hillary Clinton-esque democrat in the top office, then yes I can see this happening.

Something comes to mind from the business world... can't remember, diversify or die? They've cornered a niche market. The mentally unstable. Its only going to get them so far before they alienate most of their base. Look at the older liberals... they sound quite calm, collected and sane now. Probably due to a couple of things, one of them being that most people become more wise with age. But the main thing is that the dem party has simply moved away from the actual liberals, and into the realm of the deluded nutcase.

The more they pursue insanity, the less support they're going to have. 95% of humanity is not what the ridiculous democrat party says it is. Thus they simply won't have the support that is needed. A group of unhinged psychotics being very loud, doesn't somehow change what everyone else thinks of them.

Partially yes in liberal states, no in more red states. On a federal level maybe, but that is all null and void if the populace gets tired and fights back and wins. Not sure that will happen, but it hard to guranatee what would go down. Plus 3d printing tech is advancing fast and moving into metals, which means 3d printed metal and polymer guns will be quite easy to make. Soon guns will be like alcohol. Recipes so widely available that banning them does nothing but make them more popular. At least that is my hope.

Deep down they know two things. 1) Banning all firearms 100% won't ultimately reduce gun violence. It's just the same as alcohol. We know how well prohibition worked. 2) They know that trying to ban all weapons and to confiscate them will lead to bloodshed the likes this country hasn't seen in years. No one wants to be responsible for that.

As for me, guns are evil. I got rid of all of mine, so there are no guns in my household...
